Description: Since 1996 Concepts has reveled in footwear, fashion, skate, sportsmanship and style as one of the most influential retail stores in Boston. It's 10th year anniversary called for a store redesign headed up by Soldier Design. The build-out consisted of engineering cold rolled steel hangbars, which mount to either the floor or suspended from the ceiling. The product handrails took on two unique and organic planes: The rails contoured horizontally to flow traffic to the back of the store, while simultaneously forging vertical waves in the rail, creating an erratic rhythm that lends itself to increased visual interest. The unique architectural treatments for denim, footwear and skate sections create focus when most needed. The mansion-style mirror that leans against the backdrop of the store creates a larger than life experience for customers.
