Virgin Mobile Reception Desk

Client: Burton Snowboards

Project: SIA Tradeshow Booth 2004

Location: Las Vegas, Nevada

Description: Soldier worked with the Burton Snowboard Company and a Portland, Oregon-based design and exhibit house to generate project vision, strategy, design and opportunity to manufacture 7,500 sq/ft environment showcasing the 2005 product line for Burton Snowboards, Red Protection, Anon Optics, Gravis Footwear and Analog Clothing.

The goal was to reconcile 5 brands, over 1,200 product styles and seventeen team rider personalities with reception space and multiple lounge zones into a 50'x80' footprint, while integrating 27 years of opinion leading heritage, heart, soul, passion and understanding in a sport which they helped pioneer.

The large white fabric form extending 80 ft. in length, moving from floor to open air, represents the existence of the Burton brand. The intersecting red form represents their pursuit of co-developed technology throughout much of their product lines. The overall space was clearly split to showcase softgoods on the raised platform and hardgoods under the white fabric form. Anon, Red, Analog and Gravis brands had their respective branded creedal spaces.
